Structural Engineering Internship - Atlanta, GA
Bennett & Pless is seeking bright and motivated engineering students for our summer internship program in our Atlanta office.

You’d be responsible for:
- Designing specific elements with in overall structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historical, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations, and existing facility analysis.
- Interacting and coordinating with structural engineers and Revit/Cad Designers to produce deliverables are compliant with client expectations and Bennett & Pless quality levels.
- Preparing construction drawings in Revit/AutoCAD format, preparing calculations as directed by the project structural engineer, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, performing site reviews with the project structural engineer, and preparing RFI responses as directed by the project structural engineer.

Other Qualifications:
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Pursuit of a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
- Ability to learn applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project.
- Experience in Revit is a plus. Experience in AutoCAD is required.
- Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.
Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and standard practices
- Proficiency in specialized project accounting software (e.g. Oracle, Deltek) and other financial management tools (Textura). Acumatica experience is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and have strong attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey financial information to different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to regulatory changes, new technologies and a growing/evolving business environment.
