Human Resources Generalist - Atlanta, GA

What You Will Do:

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to become an integral part of our team in our Atlanta office. In this multifaceted role, you will provide expertise and support across all HR functions in an engineering consulting environment, with a strong focus on talent sourcing, recruitment, and onboarding. Additionally, you will oversee the effective use and optimization of our HR systems, leveraging technology to streamline processes, maintain accurate data, and generate insights to support decision-making. This role will also contribute to strategic HR initiatives and projects.

Recruitment & Sourcing:

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs, develop tailored sourcing strategies, and ensure a seamless candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Drives recruitment of annual staffing plan for mid-to-senior level positions. Supports HR Coordinator on entry-level hires and reports on progress throughout the year.
  • Maintain and update internal job descriptions and external job postings to accurately reflect current role requirements and responsibilities.

HR Systems Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of HR employee data across multiple systems, including personnel files and our HR system.
  • Optimize HR processes and identify opportunities for improvements to enhance efficiency across the team.
  • Develop and maintain quarterly HR metrics reports to leadership to identify key trends.
  • Regularly review and provide updates to the employee Guidebook.
  • Oversee immigration case processing for employees and correspondence with immigration attorneys, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and timely processing.
  • Leads the annual EEOC reporting process by analyzing workforce data, ensuring compliance, and leveraging insights to initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

  • Administers benefits for new and existing team members, including enrollment, life events, and addressing employee inquiries to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
  • Provides support to Team Experience Manager to execute the annual merit process.
  • Provides support to team members who inquire about leaves of absences, in partnership with Team Experience Manager.
  • Maintain PTO and floating holiday balances and accruals in HR system and answer team member questions.

Business Partnership:

  • Establish strong relationships with leaders and team members – you are seen as a partner, trusted advisor, and helpful resource in navigating challenges.
  • Drives HR projects and initiatives to support our vision and enhance our culture.
  • Partner with leaders on onboarding and offboarding and employee situations as needed.
  • Support HR efforts in integrating new employees during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Partner with the business on employee surveys to gather feedback on engagement and satisfaction, analyze results, and collaborate with HR leadership to implement improvements.

What We Are Looking For:

 
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is required, or equivalent Human Resources experience.
    • 7+ years of experience working in a Human Resources role across a wide variety of HR disciplines. Recruitment and sourcing experience is required.
    • Strong HR knowledge across all disciplines: talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, development, benefits administration, data analytics, and employment law.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.
    • Experience working in an HR system is required, ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.
    • Experience partnering with and coaching leaders to drive performance is preferred.
